Sunri Eco Score
Please note: the Sunri Eco Score is currently still being refined and developed. Creating a sustainability score that is genuinely measurable, comparable, and transparent across different products and suppliers is complex, and we believe it’s important to do this carefully and responsibly.
We believe sustainability should be clear, honest, and easy to understand. That's why we created the Sunri Eco Score - a simple way to show the environmental impact of each product we make.
The Eco Score looks at the full journey of a product, from materials and production to packaging and end of life. It helps you understand how and why a product is more sustainable, without greenwashing or vague claims.
We don't claim to be perfect. But we do believe in progress over perfection. The Sunri Eco Score is our way of being transparent about where we are today - and accountable for where we're going tomorrow.
HOW THE ECO SCORE IS DETERMINED
The Eco Score is intended as a guide to empower better choices. It is determined by 5 core criteria:
-
Materials max 50 points
What the product is made of: recycled, up-cycled, responsibly sourced, and certified materials. -
Production & Impact max 25 points
How it's made: energy use, water use, chemicals, and waste during manufacturing. -
Packaging & Transparency max 10 points
How it's packaged and communicated: minimal, sustainable packaging and clear, honest data from our suppliers. -
Transport & Supply Chain max 5 points
How it gets to you: production location, transport distance, and supply-chain transparency. -
End of life max 5 points
Durability, reusability, repairability, and recyclability.
